Baby Face Photo Tip: Get Down on Their Level

One of the elements of taking a good photograph is to capture something familiar from an unfamiliar perspective. When it comes to children and babies, we tend to take photos of them as we're used to seeing them...looking down. While you can certainly get many nice photographs this way, it doesn't always make for the most interesting point of view. A much better way to shoot them (photographically speaking, of course!) is by getting on their level. For toddlers, this might mean crouching or even sitting to get the shot. For littler ones that are just holding their heads up or sitting, getting down on your belly is the way to go. It's a little extra effort, but the results are definitely worth it!

I agree. I'm constantly on the ground taking pictures of my kids and they aren't babies anymore ;)
